Job Overview:

 

We are seeking a proactive and experienced 3rd Party Panel Manager to join our growing Debt Purchase and Recovery business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, developing, and maintaining relationships with external panel providers (such as debt collection agencies, legal firms, and other third-party service providers). You will ensure that these partnerships deliver high-quality services that align with our company’s objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer service standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage 3rd Party Relationships: Act as the primary point of contact for all third-party panel providers, ensuring strong and productive relationships are built and maintained.
  • Monitor Performance: Track and analyse the performance of all third-party providers against agreed service levels, KPIs, and compliance standards. Address any underperformance or service issues in a timely manner.
  • Contract and SLA Management: Oversee the creation, review, and renewal of contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with panel providers, ensuring they align with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that all third-party providers adhere to relevant regulatory and compliance standards, including GDPR, FCA regulations, and other legal obligations.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare regular reports on third-party performance, highlighting key performance indicators, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Present findings to senior management and recommend necessary actions.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost-saving measures, and enhanced efficiency within the third-party panel management process.
  • Training & Support: Provide guidance, support, and training to third-party providers to ensure the highest levels of performance and adherence to company policies.
  • Complaint Resolution: Investigate and resolve any disputes, complaints, or issues arising from third-party providers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Market Research & Panel Development: Conduct market research to identify potential new panel providers and assess their capability and fit with the company’s strategy and values.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the debt purchase, recovery, or financial services industry.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of debt recovery practices, UK regulatory environment, and compliance frameworks (FCA, GDPR, etc.).
  • Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to manage relationships effectively across all levels.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis and reporting skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining quality standards.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in reporting and compliance activities.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues swiftly and professionally, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, including operations, legal, and compliance teams.
  • Technology Proficient: Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), CRM systems, and panel management software.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with working in the debt purchase and recovery sector, specifically with third-party suppliers.
  • Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs) in the debt recovery process.
  • Experience in legal recovery practices or managing legal panel providers.
